#ResilienceReimagined
Resilience Reimagined spotlights the amazing work of 4 individuals who’ve partnered with Capital One
to reimagine and improve the circumstances for those living in marginalized communities.
I was hired by an agency was to capture these amazing people in their every day, work environments,
and make them shine in a way that matches all the incredible things they are doing for their communities.
The Ali Forney Center

Alex Roque works at The Ali Forney Center, the nation’s largest organization
dedicated to housing LGBTQ+ youth – who are 8X more likely to be homeless.
When the pandemic hit, Alex and his team did everything they could
to keep their homes open and properly stocked with food.

The Education Trust

Wil Del Pilar fights to increase college access and create education equity for historically underserved students.
As the pandemic further exacerbated such systemic inequities, Wil advocates at the Federal and State level for more school funding,
teacher diversity, and digital access to help the students who need it most.

The Knowledge House

Jerelyn Rodriguez, co-founder, and CEO of The Knowledge House works to educate, empower, and mentor her students – who mostly stem from low-income communities in the Bronx – with customized programs that give them the technical and business skills they need to land 6-figure salaries in some of the most prestigious tech companies in the US.

Year Up

Whitley Denson works at Year Up, a national nonprofit dedicated to giving young adults the technical skills, experience, and support they need to land an internship with one of their corporate partners who are all Fortune 1000 companies. The best part is, 90% of their graduates continue their education or are hired after they finish the program.
